More media treatment of the unclassified 2022 Annual Report on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena. ABC News doesn’t quite grasp the finer points about the process that produced the 144 reports of June 25, 2021’s “Preliminary Assessment” and what’s behind the 366 “new” reports. Nor are the 171 reports at the moment resistant to explanation surprising, given what little we know of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) procedure. New York Times national security reporter Julian E. Barnes emphasizes that the Report Categorizes Many Unexplained Sightings as Drones, Trash or Birds. Barnes makes a few bobbles while using “conspiracy” and “speculation” several times. He ends with the lame excuse of “bureaucratic inertia” for the Report’s tardiness. Even in an updated October 31st answer to journalist Bryan Bender the ODNI said the public version likely would be online “the latter part” of that week. BBC News also offers math in UFO Reports by US Troops Skyrocket to over 500. Even “padded” with last month’s comments from Undersecretary of Defense (Intelligence & Security) Moultrie, Brandon Drenon’s article outdoes even The Report itself for brevity. While noting the U.S. Government Releases 2nd UAP/UFO Report to the Public John Greenewald offers a copy, adding we can expect a video breakdown of it soon. (WM)
