A woman named Charlotte was completely spooked out after she witnessed a swing in a children’s play area moving on its own, and now she thinks a ghost was riding it
A mysterious ‘ ghost swing’ that was moving by itself in a children’s play area has left a woman ‘creeped out’ – as she’s certain it was a ghoul of some kind.
The woman, known only as Charlotte, walked past a public park and noticed that one of the swings was moving on its own, and oddly there was no one around to have pushed it, as Dorset Live reports.
She was walking her dog at the time, and at first, she thought there must have been someone in the park that she had missed, but after double-checking, she discovered it was empty.
Now Charlotte is convinced that she’s seen the ghost of a child, still swinging in their favourite park – and admits she’s creeped out.

Charlotte, from Dorset, said: “As I was walking along, I saw this swing just keep swinging. There was no one in the park, no kids either, so it’s not as if someone had just jumped off and let it go.
“I noticed the swing and watched it for about 12-15 seconds. Then I stood there for about 15 seconds to film it, but even after I left it was still swinging.
“At first, it was a bit misty, but then I walked across the field and it got really misty to the point I couldn’t see in front of me.
“So I headed back to my car and headed towards the park when my dog started acting weird.
“Sometimes they say that animals can pick up these [spiritual] things and my dog was acting really weird. Normally, she runs off and wants to play, but instead she was by my side the whole time.
“It was like she could feel something.”
The mysterious incident happened on Tuesday, January 18, at around 5pm when it was particularly foggy – which only added to the spooky atmosphere.
She continued: “It was a bit of a creepy evening as lots of people also posted pictures of how foggy it was.
“It creeped me out, but not too much – I suppose it was just the little ghost of a child on the swing.
“I normally walk up there quite a lot but I’ve never noticed this before.”
