Lauren Roth and her family were ultimately forced to flee after the activity at their home left them traumatized.
Roth, who moved into the rented property in Teeside, England with her husband and two children last November, quickly became suspicious that something was amiss.
In addition to witnessing lights turning on and off by themselves, she kept developing unexplained bruises and her son would keep waking up screaming in the middle of the night.
He would also act as though there was someone else in the room with him.
“It got to the point where my son was talking to somebody,” said Lauren. “They used to sleep all night with no problems at all. My son would wake up and he’d stand at the top of the stairs staring.”
“Things were getting moved around the house, and thrown down the stairs.”
“We’d seen something during the night.”
Things went from bad to worse when she began experiencing feelings of being choked by an unseen assailant and her daughter started to develop unexplained scratch marks.
The last straw came in June of this year when her son went to bed one evening and started screaming “get off me” and “leave me alone” as though he was being attacked by something invisible.
The family ended up living in a caravan in their neighbor’s drive while they looked for a new home.
“You see it in movies but you don’t think it’s going to happen to you,” said Lauren.
“We’ve literally had to get up and move. We had no other choice.”
