Well, then, how about this: Archaeologists Find Fragment of Medieval Hand Grenade? Enrico de Lazaro summarizes findings of a multi-disciplinary, multi-organizational study in the journal PLOS ONE from which this explosive suggestion comes. More study is indicated. On a larger subject, a new Study Challenges Theories of Earlier Human Arrival in Americas. Another PLOS One collaborative paper, using a new statistic dubbed the “Apparent Stratigraphic Integrity Index,” argues against accepting dates much before 13,000 BP without “additional studies.” Probably less controversial but still illuminating is the finding that Prehistoric People Created Art by Firelight, New Research Reveals.
