One of the current problems with trying to determine what
UFOs are lies in the present interest, or mental convolution, about Reality.
Almost every scientific and academic discipline is now
asserting thought and hypotheses about what Reality is, a once conver- sational
domain of philosophy or physics only.
In the Archives of the Impossible videos I’ve noted here
recently and many of the UFO-oriented videos on YouTube plus the books centered
on the topic of Reality, virtually everyone offering com- mentary makes it a
point to insert something related to the nature of our human reality.
Jacques Vallee’s Archives talk brought it up, as did Diana
Pasulka [American Cosmic] and Dr. Karla Turner, as well as almost everyone I
approached online or via a TV show,
The nature of Reality enthuses me, but to broach the topic
inside thoughts about UFOs co-mixes the complex Reality matter with the
enigmatic phenomenon, adding more discursive commentary to the already mixture
of UFO hypotheticals: Are they part of an exten- ded, parallel reality, a
paranormal reality, an extraterrestrial reality, and so on.
Can UFOs be pulled out of the overwhelmingly abstruse
discourse about Reality or are the two inextricably intertwined?
In any severe attack on troubling matters – medicine,
psychology, military preparation, economics, social issues, climate change,
history, et cetera – everything must be taken into consideration, but often
winnowed down my specialists so that a handle on any one of those matters can
be disciplined enough to grapple with, depending upon the purpose of
a study.
For the UFO phenomenon, there are several categories that
inter- vene when a discussion is afoot: technical or aerodynamic mani- festations, so-called
abductions and/or contact with people, con- frontations with nuclear facilities,
alleged crashes of UFOs, and a few other esoteric considerations,
Reality needs to be a sidebar, as pertinent as it may be to
the source or raison d’être of the phenomenon.
Condensing UFO information to its essence is a first step.
Then considering the vicissitudes of the source, purpose, and meaning of the
things can come next.
But it’s the essence of the phenomenon that we must consider
first, leaving the augmentation of Reality to the overlay, as Reality takes us
to a whole other batch of deliberation where the physicists and philosophers
(pseudo and otherwise) can fulfill their need to be relevant.
Therefore, leave UFOs – not UAP – to those with a real
fascination and interest for and about them to deal with the phenomenon,
As intellectually iffy as that may be, it is better than the
UFO jet- sam and flotsam presently in vogue.
