A mystery creature sparked concern last week after it made its way into a shop in the Indian state of Bihar.
There was quite a commotion outside a shop in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district on Thursday when the peculiar animal, which reportedly gained access to the property the night before, was spotted rummaging around inside.
It didn’t take long for word to spread and within a short time a considerable crowd had gathered.
Predictably, rumors also began to spread, with some claiming that the creature was in fact a Demogorgon from the Netflix hit show Stranger Things.
This, in turn, ended up sparking panic, with some convinced that it was a genuine monster.
It certainly didn’t help when an individual who is well known in the local area came out with the theory that the creature was an alien that must have come from another planet.
In reality, however, the mystery animal – which was distinctly cat-like – was most likely little more than a civet cat with mange that had managed to make its way into the city from the nearby forest.
Exactly what happened to it after things had settled down remains unclear.
