The Israeli spoon-bender is back in the news this week with another bizarre claim of his psychic prowess.
If there’s one thing in life that’s almost guaranteed, it’s that Uri Geller will make another outrageous claim about how his psychic powers have influenced world events.
Back in 2021, for instance, he claimed that his own psychic intervention was responsible for releasing the cargo ship that had become stuck in the Suez Canal, while in 2019 he maintained that he had used his powers to manipulate the result of the UK General Election.
This time he’s taking things one step further by claiming that his psychic powers will enable the creation of a “force field” that will defend the world against nuclear attack.
In a bizarre video, he told his followers to “just take five seconds out of your day to visualize a radiant, energetic force field – like a dazzling, golden shield in the sky” that would physically deflect any nuclear missiles that might be fired by Russia.
In an open letter to the Russian leader, he also implied that “greater forces” would intervene.
“As well as harnessing this immense energy of all our combined Mind Power there are also forces far, far greater than you can imagine that I am sure will intervene to prevent you from starting a nuclear war,” he wrote.
“They are watching and waiting and they will STOP you.”
