The UFO Phenomenon

The US Navy has stated that releasing any more of its UFO footage would ‘harm national security’.

Some of the most intriguing UFO videos to surface in recent years have come from the US Navy – in particular those of fast-moving UAPs captured on camera by pilots off the east coast of the United States.

Ever since this footage came to light, UFO researchers, analysts and even politicians have been arguing that the US Navy is likely to have significantly more evidence that it has yet to disclose, including multiple unseen videos that could reveal much more about the nature of these objects.

Now following a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request by The Black Vault, the US Navy has pretty much confirmed that this is the case while simultaneously implying that we won’t be getting to see any of it anytime soon… if ever.

The request had sought to secure the release of all videos “with the designation of ‘unidentified aerial phenomena'”.

According to the US Navy, however, honoring such a request “will harm national security as it may provide adversaries valuable information regarding Department of Defense/Navy operations, vulnerabilities, and/or capabilities. No portions of the videos can be segregated for release.”

“While three UAP videos were released in the past, the facts specific to those three videos are unique in that those videos were initially released via unofficial channels before official release.”

“Those events were discussed extensively in the public domain; in fact, major news outlets conducted specials on these events. Given the amount of information in the public domain regarding these encounters, it was possible to release the files without further damage to national security.”

The response is certainly interesting, as it is more common for officials to refuse to confirm or deny the existence of such videos, rather than to simply state that they cannot be released.

It also confirms that the earlier video releases were done unofficially and it is likely that if they hadn’t been leaked, the US Navy would not have chosen to make them public.
